Wednesday

Started the morning off with another dream log. Spent the rest of the morning eating some taquitos and watching Supernatural season 4 special features, mostly Director/Writer commentary and deleted scenes. Which took up the time I needed to shower. I got dressed in a hurry and left for work. It was another hot beast of a day, though the metro transit authority saw fit to provide air conditioning today on the train. It was more deserved than appreciated. I spent the train ride reading.
I arrived at work with enough time to order my shift meal before preparing for the Britney Spears crowd and there impending onsluaght of young women dressed in clothes there mothers should allow. As well as older women dressed in clothes that make me love LA. It wasn't as crazy as expected but it did stay busy much longer than yesterdays failure of a concert event rush. I got the sex eyes from one lady after seating her and her friends. It wasn't until later that I realized I need to work on my closing strategy. Another beautiful older woman was asking me what the best happy hour at LA Live was, I told her the Yardhouse has the best selection and atmosphere. She seemed interested and continued the conversation well past her question, so I recipricated and began asking her about the OC, where she is from. She told me liked to visit LA, I should have closed at that moment. But as I always do, I got lost in her ever present beauty and eyes. I asked her what she did in the OC and she replied "Interior decorating and Graphic Design." Thats hot! This gorgeous women is a Graphic Designer!?! I was sold. My smooth rebuttal was "Cool cool...." Stupid I know. Her friends began for the door and she leaned in, grabbed my hand tight and said "It was very nice meeting you." Then as quick as she appeared she was gone. I didn't even get her name, let alone her number. I freaking suck at talking to women. That was a fantastic missed opportunity. I've got to practice. Before I left work, my friend Sean, let me print up some film resumes. They will come in handy for my two auditions tomorrow. Hopefully I can squeeze in some time to go and get infuriated at the bank.
I came home and submitted myself online for some more auditions hopefully i can fill Thursday, Friday and Sunday with auditions since they are my days off this week. Just hoping that tips from work cover my transportation costs.

Tuesday

So today has been another silently productive day. I woke up this morning and opened my dream book to log the two dreams I had last night. Then I got up and watched the movie freaks from 1920 something. It was very strange. They used actual circus folk when they filmed it and I guess it was banned for several years because if it. After thatI stood up walked to the bathroom and showered, got ready for work and then headed out.
While I was rode to work via the metro train, I got a call from the bank. It was finally the guy I had been trying to reach for two weeks, Jose. He began to enrage me with news that the bank had withdrawn funds from my saving account. I disputed this with him as he fed me more news contrary to what i had discussed with the bank manager the day prior. Basically, he was just told to call me and attempt to alay my annoyance with information he thought i wanted to hear. When they should have explained what had happened the last four times I had gone in to speak with him during his random absences. As he slowly started to realize he had done more harm than good he cut the conversation short and told me he would call me again. I wasn't going to let the bank bamboozle me any longer, so I headed for the bank. When I got there I was taken aback by the fact that this monstrous douchebag was actually there. So I sat and waited to speak to him. While I patiently waited to tear this unforgivable fuck a new ass-gash. A teller came up to me and asked if I needed help, I explained my situation to him and he took sympathy towards my encounter with the banks error. This also threw me a bit. But I soldiered on and took a chance on what might be a positive experience at this bank. He tried to set up a text message system that allows me to have my balance sent to me so i don't have to get online every time I need to check my balance. Needless to say it never got set up, the system was down or some shit, but I appreciated this mans attempt. When Jose became available I tried to talk to him and he brushed me off. I told him I had just spoken with him on the phone and he acted like it never happened. Then told me he would need to talk with someone else before he could help me and that he was busy. I wanted to stab his stupid ass in the face but I took a deep breath and left.
I got to work and I was preparing for the worst, since tonight was the Miley Cyrus concert at the Staples Center, I expected pandemonium. Instead, what I got was a relaxing and well oiled machine of a day at work. The new host Carly was there and it was a night of efficiency. I got to talk to Carly and find out more about her. She is very pretty and dough eyed but I learned she is more than meets the eye. She is a driven woman. She has her life pretty well mapped out for the next couple years. Her and her boyfriend are living here while he goes to school and before she heads to dental college. It was refreshing getting a better understanding of her.
Since it wasn't as busy as planned, I was sent home early. I got back home and startled Amber, who was watching dvds and doing her hair in her underwear. She couldn't hear my approach because the AC was on. Oh! Did I mention today was as hot as balls! Well, it was. She shooed me out of the room while she went and got dressed and then we bonded over a common struggle, that of Chase bank fucking up our lives, or at least trying to. She wrote a check and went to go deposit before the bank could swindle any more money from her. In her absence I began vacuuming my room. It was a nasty revelatory process. The inside of the vacuum was filthy and smelly, my hand was covered in rancid soot. It took a few minutes of scrubbing to rid my hand of the mess. Then I went back over the floor a few more time to insure a job well done. By this time the food I placed in the oven was ready to eat so i ate it and began researching biblical myth for a story i am writing. After I ate, I was in a state of heightened lethargy and decided to sleep, while my room and the gallon of Febreeze I sprayed aired out and worked it magic. When I awoke a few hours had passed and I realized Amber hadn't returned. So I texted her only to find that she had gone to Mavis' to watch Dexter without me. Last night I fell asleep and did a decent amount of snoring, which illicited the taking of sleep addled pictures. I went back to my research and got a good deal more writing done. Then I took a break to check my facebook where my good friend Carol had sent me a link to a beautiful video, which I will share with you. Please check it out.

Monday, Magnificent Moday!

Today has been a delicious day. I woke up showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed and took the train to work. I decided to bring my sketch book with me today, while on the train I began to draw the main character of my "Trust" premise project.
Work was steady and tips were less than decent but that still better than no tips. During the down time I was able to flesh out a little more of my "Trust" TV project. While at work I received the most wonderful news from my future roommate Christine. She told me that She, Alex and myself were all approved to move in to the apartment we found in Hollywood. Which means soon, I will be closer to the pulse of the industry. I received a phone call from Alex not long after that, telling that his friend was sure that after four days of not hearing back, we were not going to get in. He sounded rather morose, It was kind of funny in a sad way. I let him know we got in and I could almost hear him jump for joy through the phone. Work was a breeze after that.
I left work and headed for the train before remembering there was a matter I needed to resolve at the bank. I walked into the bank and got in line and waited patiently, only to reach the teller who gave me the same tripe that always try and feed me. Like the chump I usually am, I took it. I walked out of the bank fuming. I stopped and turned around, emboldened with a new sense of authority, and ran back into the bank as to a lovers bed! I of course got back in line and waited, but when i got back up to the teller, I stood straight chest out and spoke with defiant urgency. Needless to say, my problem wasn't resolved but i did feel damn good putting my foot down.
I took the train home and did some more drawing. When I got home, I submitted for some more roles and got straight to blogging. Now its time for a Dexter season 3 marathon with Mavis and Amber. Blog later.

A lazyily Productive Sunday.

Sunday was a slow day for me. I woke up to the sounds of my wonderful roommate, Amber and her friend, whom I consider my friend, Mavis. They were in the kitchen talking. I stood up well rested but groggy and walk towards them into the kitchen and drank some minute maid juice (the stuff is like crack cocaine, so damn good) Then, I went and got my Supernatural season four and put in the sixth disc so that i could watch the special features. Amber and Mavis came into the living room and we all began discussing movies and the like. I love movie talk and discussing what is good and compelling to each of us. Amber spent most of that time getting ready for work. She then left for work and I figured Mavis would be on her way as well, since she and I have only spoken once prior to today. That wasn't the case. We instead talked for hours on various topics, ideas and points of view. Mavis is an incredible and insightful woman and equally incredible and insightful as a conversationalist and can communicate in depth about any and everything. I learned more than i knew about topics that i felt i had a grasp on and see a new depth to things that i am passionate about and want to learn about. After 6pm we ended our conversation and she headed home. I put in Supernatural and watched the special features on the motivations and reasonings behind the fourth season. I freaking love that show. I passed out on the living room floor woke up and got on the computer. Submitted for some features, commercials and shorts. Then Amber came home with food from the Emmy event tonight at work. Amber is unyeildingly nurturing and kind. She is an incredible person. I was getting ready to go and spend what little transportation money i have left to go and get something to eat, until she swooped it and saved the day. I owe Amber a lot, she is one of the people that push me to succeed in my pursuit of the craft. Which is why I closed the computuer after checking out some prospective places for my next place of residence come Octobers end, and I finished "A Director Prepares", worte some more and decieded to get back online and blog to the four of you who may or may not check these entries. Now I am going to get back to reading "The Art of Dramatic Writing" so that I can further and correctly flesh out my TV pilot ideas as well as my youtube skits.

Magical night.

So clearly I wasn't able to post anything on Saturday as I wasn't able to get online. Saturday was an absolutely great and wonderful day. I had work in the morning and then tried to get to North Hollywood via the train for an audition for a Martial Arts film. Needless to say, I didn't make it. Seems to be becoming a trend which I need to put an abrupt end to. Anywho, I met up with my friend Alex who was able to make it the audition and we chatted, then he headed off to work. I made a call to our future roommate and to see if the place which we submitted applications to earlier last week had gotten back to us on our credit status. They had not.
By this time it was only 2pm and I had nothing to do until 7pm. So i made some phone calls and got in touch with my friend Erik, he was running some errands at home and told me he would call when he was done. I made my way to Starbucks and read "A Director Prepares." Its a wonderful and insightful book on the art of directing and creation of art. I highly recommend it to any director, actor or artist of any kind. I spent a couple hours reading and writing down quotes from the book along with ideas for stories that came to me as i read. Shortly there after my friend Erik arrived and wanted to write down a script for a short scketch we came up with a while back. Then a few more hours past until i had to get ready for my plans that night. I went to the bathroom and changed before we headed out to where I was meeting my friend for dinner. He left.
My friend and I had dinner and discussed things. We went to an event and then drove around Pasadena. It was somewhat magical. Pasadena is a beautiful place.

Two days in a row.

So Thursday ended up being a lazy day for me. Full of sleep, video games and food. I spent the day at my friend Sean's place. I was supposed to go to the cold reading class with Alex. This is the last time I skip the Re-Writers Guild for no legitimate reason. Today will bring more productivity. I have a meeting with a new roommate and manager this morning at 10 o'clock. Hopefully this place ends up being where I move to next, I really don't want to have to stress over looking for a place. Then I will have a couple of hours to hopefully get in some reading before work. I need to figure out if I will be able to make it to any of the auditions I have lined up perspectively this Saturday. I will be walking away with better tips as a busser tonight at work. Then It's back to hosting Saturday morning. Saturday night should prove to be a stellar occasion. I am going to a charity event with a lovely friend of mine by the name of Ashley. I've been silently looking forward to it all week. Right now I need to get some moderate amount of sleep before I start this day.

I am back.

So back in January I mentioned using this as a journal. That clearly never came to fruition. I am now taking the opportunity to do so and stick to it. A lot has changed. I am a different man, I have grown. In the past nine months, I have experienced a great deal both good and bad. I fell in love, I got back into theatre, I once a gain reassessed my goal and end goal, I got back to writing and drawing as well. My creative apparatus is back in full swing and this momentum can only bring more to my craft. Today, I am meeting with Alex and we will be going to the Re-Writers Guild meeting to do some cold reading. I am sure I will talk to Carleton and Erik at some point today. Carleton just had a huge audition for "Three Rivers." New show on CBS. Looking forward to Supernatural season 5, episode 2, today.
